Educational Strategies by Age Group

Children Ages 2 and 3:

We implement the “one person, one language” (OPOL) system. Each educator communicates exclusively in one language (English or Portuguese), providing natural and consistent exposure to both languages from an early age.

Children Ages 4 and 5:

We consolidate bilingual learning through daily interaction with an American educator and a Brazilian educator fluent in English within the classroom. On a semi-full-time schedule, with lunch at school and complementary activities also taught entirely in English. We promote the integral development of children in their physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual aspects.

Literacy Methods

Bilingual and Phonetic:

We use the phonetic method to teach literacy to children in both English and Portuguese. This method, focused on the sounds of letters and the formation of words, facilitates the learning of reading and writing in an integrated and natural way across two languages.

Classes with Specialists

Physical Education and Music

All children participate in physical education and music classes, taught in English, included in the tuition at no additional cost. These classes are designed to enrich the educational experience while simultaneously promoting physical well-being and cultural development.

Martial Arts and Ballet

Boys take martial arts classes and girls take ballet, both conducted in English. These activities are integrated into the school schedule, reinforcing linguistic immersion while developing physical skills, discipline, and artistic expression.
